Small Dogs

Small dogs have captured the hearts of many, offering companionship and joy in a manageable size. They’re perfect for those living in apartments, or anyone who adores a dog they can easily cuddle. But don’t let their size fool you – they often have personalities that are larger than life!

What is Considered a Small Dog?

Generally, a small dog is considered to be one that weighs less than 22 pounds (10 kg) and stands under 16 inches (40 cm) tall at the shoulder. However, the definition can be a bit flexible, as some breeds that are technically a little larger are still often considered “small” due to their overall build and temperament. The toy group is a subcategory of small dogs, and these are often the very smallest of dogs.
